Initiated in 2011, this is a free service to digitize deed books for county clerks, thereby improving access, management and preservation of these records. RMPB staff picks up the deed books from the courthouse and returns to the State Archives, where the records are digitized before being returned to the county. The images are provided to the county clerk to enhance public and office accessibility, and also stored at the West Virginia State Archives.
